A Mog Battle compares Face, Frame, Height, and Bodyfat between you and an NPC or real player. The winner chooses SPARE to preserve the defeated run or MOG to erase progress and earn MogPoints. Build a balanced sheet, start with NPCs, and decide the fate choice before the result screen appears.
Prepare before challenging
Open MY STATS away from crowded players. Height comes from Milk, Face from Hammers, Frame from Picture Frames, and Water lowers Bodyfat. Check all four; a dramatic Height advantage does not guarantee the complete comparison.
Record active timed boosts, Ability, Genetics, MogPoints, and any rare reward you are carrying. Avoid a player battle during a 30-minute progress window unless the matchup and risk are deliberate. The official description does not say a boost survives being MOGGED.
Choose a labeled NPC for the first test. Current community guides report that walking into or approaching a valid target starts the battle, but follow the live prompt. Do not assume bosses, special NPCs, captures at your plot, and ordinary NPCs all use the same trigger.
Read the four results
Watch each stat result rather than only the winner banner. Community footage reports Face, Frame, Height, and Bodyfat being called separately. If one field loses repeatedly, return to its official pickup before the next attempt.
No reliable public source publishes the full calculation. The game may use rules beyond a simple total or visual size. One observed win does not prove a universal threshold. Use the same NPC class and similar active effects when comparing changes.
Against a player, read any displayed bounty or MOG KING status separately. Those labels can affect why the target is valuable, but they do not replace the four-stat preparation.
MOG versus SPARE
Choose SPARE when
You are testing with a friend, preserving another player's long run, or observing the comparison without needing a destructive reward.
Official result: The defeated target keeps the run.
Unknown: Whether the winner receives any smaller reward.
Choose MOG when
You intentionally want the official MogPoint reward and accept that the defeated run will be erased.
Official result: Progress is erased and the winner earns MogPoints.
Community report: Defeated NPCs can become Captured Moggers.
Make the choice before initiating the battle. A rushed MOG can break a friendly agreement; a rushed SPARE can miss the planned currency and capture loop. The result screen’s current wording takes priority over any older guide.
Use NPC wins for progression
An NPC is a useful controlled target. Win, choose MOG when appropriate, and check the MogPoint balance. Then return to the plot and open CAPTURED MOGGERS. If the defeated NPC appears, assign it to an earning pad and confirm passive income.
Repeat with stronger NPCs only when the current labels and comparisons support it. Tier names, capture value, and battle rewards can change. Do not assume a larger-looking NPC always earns more.
Use SPARE if the goal is simply to test a new pickup, Ability, or Genetics choice without changing the capture list. That keeps the observation focused.
Handle player challenges
In a friendly server, agree on SPARE and the number of tests before contact. Each player should record four stats and active effects. Do not use a valuable timed reward for a test whose purpose is only to learn the UI.
In a public server, keep menus closed near other players and watch approaches while collecting. A high bounty or King marker may attract hunters. If another player follows your route, move toward a safer branch rather than accepting the comparison by accident.
When you want PvP, choose a run you can afford to lose. Check exit routes and whether a cooldown prevents immediate rematches. Current community reports mention a cooldown, but the exact length and trigger need live confirmation.
Recover after being MOGGED
Return to a safe point and inspect the save state. Check MY STATS, MogPoints, permanent MOGSCORE levels, Captured Moggers, Ability, Genetics, Lucky Spins, active timers, and any item counters. The official description does not define which fields “progress” includes.
Rebuild the exact comparison that failed. If Bodyfat lost, take Water and verify it moves downward. If Frame lost, add Picture Frames to the next circuit. Do not challenge the winner again while still at the reset baseline.
Claim any passive MogPoints that remain, buy a clearly saved pickup-gain upgrade if affordable, and use an NPC to test the rebuilt sheet.
Common battle mistakes
- Reading only character size instead of MY STATS.
- Assuming the four comparisons use equal weights or a simple majority.
- Starting a battle with a valuable progress timer running.
- Choosing MOG without accepting the other run will be erased.
- Assuming every NPC can be captured or every capture has the same value.
- Confusing ordinary MOG points with bounty or King rewards.
- Rejoining after a loss before checking what persisted.
Quick answers
What happens when you MOG someone? The developer says their progress is erased and the winner earns MogPoints. The complete reset list requires live confirmation.
What does SPARE do? It lets the defeated target keep the run.
Can I battle NPCs? Yes. The official description names NPCs and real players.
Which stat wins? No single best stat or complete formula is published. Prepare Height, Face, Frame, and Bodyfat together.
Do NPCs become captures? Current community guides report that an NPC chosen for MOG enters Captured Moggers. Verify the result in your current server.
